The story takes place many years after season 5. Michael is now trying to live a normal life as a cybersecurity consultant, leaving his criminal past behind. But when Sara (Sarah Wayne Callies) and her son Mike Jr. become targets of a mysterious organization – with ties to the remnants of The Company – he is forced back into the underground world of leaks and intrigue.

Framed and falsely accused of a major cyber attack, Michael is arrested under a false identity. He soon discovers that he is merely a pawn in a global conspiracy involving Scylla 2.0 – a surveillance technology that has the potential to manipulate the world.

Meanwhile, Lincoln, Sucre (Amaury Nolasco) and C-Note (Rockmond Dunbar) set out on a quest to clear Michael’s name. T-Bag (Robert Knepper) returns with vital information – but at great cost.
