I may not have a home, but I am still his safest place ND

A homeless man has touched hearts across the world — not by begging, not by shouting, not by asking for anything.
But simply by the way he cradles his dog to sleep every single night.

He wraps his dog in a worn jacket, pulls him close to his chest, and gently rocks him to sleep on a cold sidewalk, beneath the indifference of passing crowds and flickering streetlights.

When someone finally asked, “Why do you do this every night?”, his voice cracked as he replied:

“When I first brought him home, we had a warm apartment.

He’s never known this life.
The noise, the cold, the strangers… it keeps him awake.
So now, every night, I hold him close until he drifts off,
because I want him to feel safe — at least with me.”

He doesn’t have a roof, a bed, or even a blanket.
But somehow, he’s become shelter for someone who depends on him completely.

And that… is what love looks like.
